Pricing FAQ
Why does Free have no AI?
AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) charge us per request. Including AI in a $0 plan would mean either limiting it severely or losing money on every active user. We'd rather make Free truly free for Magento management and price AI honestly with credits on Pro.
What's an AI credit?
A credit is the unit we use to meter AI work, similar to GitHub Copilot premium requests. 1 credit = 1 product description, SEO meta, or quality score. 2 credits = 1 analytics question. 5 = 1 demand forecast. 10 = 1 PageBuilder generation. Premium models (gpt-4o, claude-sonnet) cost ×2.
What if I run out of credits?
Buy a top-up pack ($10–$500, bonus credits at $25/$50/$100) or enable auto-recharge. Pack credits never expire while you stay subscribed. You can also enable auto-overage at $0.05/credit with a monthly cap you set.
Can I bring my own OpenAI key?
Yes. Pro and Marketplace users can connect their own OpenAI, Anthropic, or other API key. When BYOK is active, AI calls bypass credits entirely — you're billed directly by your provider.
What happens to my credits if I cancel?
Pack credits are frozen for 90 days. If you resubscribe within that window, they're restored. After 90 days they're forfeited. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
How does Marketplace billing work?
$99/mo base is charged at the start of each cycle. At the end of the cycle, active sellers above the included 100 are added as $1/seller line items on your next invoice.
Do you process my customers' payments?
No. storeXstore is a management layer — we never touch your customers' payments. You use your own payment processor.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrade Free → Pro → Marketplace any time. Downgrade Marketplace → Pro by cancelling Marketplace and starting a Pro subscription. Cancellations always take effect at the end of the current period.
