Yes. Co-op selling between Magento stores is completely free — zero platform fees, zero referral fees, zero subscription. All tools including AI, dashboard, extensions, and analytics are included at no cost.
What's the difference between Co-op and Marketplace?
Co-op is free Magento-to-Magento selling — partner stores help each other with zero fees. Marketplace ($999/mo) opens your store to any seller (non-Magento too), supports up to 1,000 sellers, and includes a 1% referral fee on seller transactions. Marketplace requires Magento Enterprise Cloud (StoreOnCloud) or Adobe Commerce.
What's included in the Marketplace plan?
Everything in Co-op plus: up to 1,000 sellers (any seller, not just Magento), seller storefronts with white-label branding, public seller applications and approval workflows, automated payouts, marketplace API access, and priority support. The plan is $999/mo plus 1% referral on seller transactions.
Are AI tools really free? What's the catch?
AI tools are free for everyone on both plans. For fair use, we throttle (slow down, not block) extremely heavy usage. 95% of users will never notice any limit. There's no paywall — just a brief queue for very high-volume requests.
Do I need storeoncloud.com for hosting?
For Co-op: No. storeXstore works with ANY Magento instance. For Marketplace: You need Magento Enterprise Cloud (StoreOnCloud) or Adobe Commerce to handle the scale of 1,000+ sellers.
How does Marketplace billing work?
Marketplace is $999/mo billed via Stripe subscription. The 1% referral fee on seller transactions is tracked throughout the month and billed as a single monthly invoice. If referral fees are below $5, they roll over. You always see a clear breakdown of every seller transaction.
What if I need more than 1,000 sellers?

Does storeXstore process my customers' payments?
No. storeXstore is a management layer — we never touch your customers' payments. You use your own payment processor. We only read order data from Magento to track seller sales and calculate commissions.
